FAQ

I avoid setting fixed rates, as each session is unique and the price will be influenced by:
How long our photo session will be
How many photos you’d like to receive from the session
If we’ll shoot on digital or film (35mm)
Whether you would like art direction/styling
The post-production required (a basic editing and colour grading pack, or the add on of full retouching)
Any added expenses for travel or venue rental
Every now and then, the goals and budgets of clients might not quite match up with my pricing and services in practice. When that happens, I always try to come up with a workaround that fits both your budget and my pricing, to make sure we can still bring your vision to life and achieve what you're aiming for.

Once you’ve enquired via email, I love to get a good idea of your desired outcomes, alongside an estimation of your budget. To secure your session date and time, I’ll request a booking fee and send you a Creative Services Agreement including the details of your session and the terms & conditions of us working together. I then request the remaining fee to be paid prior to our photo session taking place.
When you’re booked in, we’ll start exploring your ideas, sharing mood boards, and drawing inspiration. Getting to know you is a big part of my process, be it as an individual, a family, a founder, a couple, or a brand. It's what helps me weave your story into the images we create.
During our photo session, my main priority (alongside creating beautiful imagery for you) is ensuring you feel as comfortable, at ease, and as authentically yourself as possible. With this in mind, my approach to photo sessions is candid, lighthearted, and welcoming. If we’ve shared a few laughs whilst managing to get the all important shots, then I’m doing my job right.
Post-session, I aim to have your images delivered to you within 21 days through a downloadable online gallery (though this timeframe might vary depending on the project's scope).

Creating moodboards and gathering inspiration is a key (super fun) part of our pre-shoot planning process. That being said, it’s important to define the line between being inspired and influenced.
Sometimes, we see photos that are styled in a way we love and want to emulate for ourselves. The tricky thing is, just like when you buy the same jumper you thought your friend looked incredible in at that party that one time, sometimes when we see it on ourselves all we end up thinking is “wow, that’s not me at all” - which can be pretty disappointing when you’ve already invested the time and money into it.
For this reason, I love to get curious about why you love your inspiration photos. Is it the posing? The colours? The cropping? The use of negative space? We’ll spend a bit of time dissecting that, and then we’ll align it with your own style and story, so we can create images that reflect you.

I request a non-refundable booking fee to secure your photo session date and time.
The booking fee contributes toward your total payment.

To make my photo sessions accessible to everyone, I'm more than happy to explore the possibility of payment plans. Feel free to bring it up in your booking inquiry, and we can have a conversation about it together!
-
The duration of each session is individually tailored and is something we’ll determine whilst booking your session!
Portrait sessions, be it for an individual, a couple, or a family, typically span around 2 hours.
On the other hand, for brand, yoga, and wellness sessions, the timeframe can vary, usually falling within the range of 2 to 4 hours.

I love travelling further afield, whether that involves exploring a new place or returning somewhere familiar.
If your photo session will take place outside of the North East of England, during the booking process we’ll discuss travel expenses and include this in the final fee.
